Gran Cenote, Tulum

Gran Cenote is a bike ride from the center of Tulum. Follow the road towards Cobá, until you see the sign on your right side.
Entrance is 180 pesos and you can pay 30 pesos for a locker.
The water of Gran Cenote is crystal clear. Part of the cenote is a cave. You can swim underground from one entrance to the other.
It is impressive to swim between stalagmites, that stretch from the roof of the cave into the water. Some of them reach all the way to the bottom.
It is one world above the water surface, another under, and both are fascinating. Bats fly above you, and you share the water with small fish and turtles.
Gran Cenote is one of the most impressive cenotes in Tulum for snorkeling.
When you want a break from swimming, you can relax in the green grass. A hammock or in the lunch area.
Especially during sargasso time, gran cenote is a great place to enjoy the water and sun of Tulum.
