Frikadeller, danish no-meat-balls


For 4:
200 g portobello
200 g tofu (press water out after you weigh it)
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp mustard
3/4 tsp pebber
1 tsp salt
2 tsp teriaki
1/2 dl uncocked rice, 1 dl water (no salt)
30 g chopped peanuts

Cook the rice

Fry chopped onion and garlic in a bit of oil

Fry mushrooms on a dry skillet until water is disolved

Add all ingredients (save the nuts) to a food processor. Blend, but let it maintain some texture. Add nuts and pulse a bit more. Form balls. Let it sit for a couple of hours.
Fry in oil



The taste is actually close to the meat version, so you might be able to serve it for sceptics without they will notice the difference 😉
